ABOUT
THE CONFERENCES
The 1000
Islands Pastors' Conference began as a prophetic picture from the Lord. A
vision of unity among Seniors Pastors of like faith and the Churches we
oversee. A vision of a particular contribution to overcoming gates set up
by hell, to restrict the advance of the kingdom of God in our nation and
communities.
We see
Senior Pastors taking advantage of the power of unity through mutual
edification, support, networking, fellowship and collaboration, to increase
the impact that the message of faith has on our regional and local
communities.
Since
the first century following the resurrection of Christ, His enemies have
worked diligently to promote divisive thoughts, attitudes, and practices in
his Church. However, through promotion of the unit of faith and the unit of
the spirit amount Pastors of like faith, we can make a spiritual demand
that will produce extraordinary results.
The
benefits of this conference are both immediate and long term, both edifying
and establishing. Plus we have a little bit of fun too!
As
Senior Pastors our place of leadership and influence is uniquely strategic
within the boy of Christ and on the field of battle. And by the same token,
the wisdom and support we need is also unique (three books of the Bible are
dedicated to the conduct and success of the pastoral ministry). By bringing
into our region ministers capable of providing us with extraordinary
edification, wisdom and inspiration, we facilitate the strategic potential
Jesus has invested in us.
By
taking advantage of the opportunity to fellowship with our peers and make
new friends, we can increase our network of spiritual and practical
sharing.
Not only
are we immediately affecting the spiritual atmosphere in our nation and
region, but we can also contribute to a pattern of spiritual increase that
will prosper our work wherever we are.
The
success of this conference can position us for the facilitation of other
great gatherings made possible through out unity as Pastors of like faith.
It is by
the Holy Spirit's leadership, and around these ideas that this 1000 Islands
Pastors' Conference is convened.
